Ethenfarr is a city of the central Rivering, a major trading port for the region and the traditional capital of the Heartland area. It is situated at the northern tip of the large River Isle that divides the flow of the Traveling River. Under the historical regime of the counties Ethenfarr was the chief meeting site for conferences among the counts, long considered neutral ground. The city rose to modern prominence as the site of a lengthy siege during the Ijeida Revolution and Second Intercontinental War, from which conflicts it emerged as the political heart of the newly established Republics of Wheat and Water.
