The Jirenes Civil War was an armed conflict between the Imperial state of Jirenes, backed by the officially disbanded TeuNau and its holdings, and various rebel groups opposed to continuing Imperial rule, following defeat in the Second Intercontinental War. Officially an internal affair to Jirenes, the war is noted for substantial international intervention, especially by several of the newly formed Republics of Wheat and Water, which saw in the weakened state of Jirenes and opportunity to protect their own sovereignty by contributing to the demise of the Empire they had recently rebelled against (in part). Sovdu and Parovir remained diplomatically disinterested in the conflict, but several battles famously involved ships of the Agata Navy and an international Volunteer Brigade, heavily populated with Agatter and Tevran supporters of the rebel cause.
